Student Appeals and Complaints
REMIT:
This ARC Practitioner Group has been established to represent the views of the HE sector on all issues relating to student complaints and appeals. The Group will advise members on latest developments, provide a forum for debate, disseminate good practice and seek to influence and lead debate on these issues across the sector.

CURRENT PROJECTS:
The Practitioner Group has established two Task Groups to look into different aspects of academic appeals:
1) proposing optional common principles for processing student appeals, including how to handle 'extenuating circumstances'
2) proposing appeals models that could be adopted by different types of institutions
3) providing guidance and best practice appeals material for the ARC website (to provide the 'how' equivalent to the QAA Code of Practice 'why').
