REMIT: To discuss sector-wide matters relating to the admission of students To specifically consider and respond to matters relating to UCAS systems, policy and procedures To act on behalf of the sector as a lobby/advisory forum to various external stakeholders The Admissions Practitioner Group is mainly, but not exclusively, concerned with the arrangements for admission of undergraduate students, and members of UCAS staff attend meetings. In this context it acts as a main forum for discussion of the operational aspects of the UCAS scheme, and is used by UCAS as a sounding-board for proposed changes. The former chair of the group was a member of the QAA's working party on the Admissions section of the QAA's Code of Practice.
