The Leadership Foundation's mission is to equip current and future leaders in Higher Education with the skills and awareness of good practice so that they can deliver continuous academic and professional improvement in their institutions and respond effectively to future challenges.
This is achieved by :
* Developing and delivering high quality leadership development programmes
* Working with leadership teams inside HE institutions to build their capacity to deliver excellence and change
* Actively encouraging across HE a culture of organisational learning and reflection
* Promoting equality and diversity by creating a larger pool from which future leaders, governors and managers within HE can be drawn
* Enhancing the esteem associated with excellence in leadership, management and governance in HE
* Encouraging leadership learning across sector and international boundaries, thereby recognising HEIs' wider leadership contribution to the private and public sectors and the global community
* Championing and showcasing leadership excellence in UK HEIs on a worldwide basis
* Constantly engaging with leaders of HEIs to offer support, challenge and stimulus.
